- Whisk in a large bowl together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined and fluffy.
- Mix in another bowl the buttermilk, egg, and melted butter until everything is well combined.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just mixed.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little butter to grease the surface.
- Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface (about 2-3 minutes), then flip and cook until golden brown for about 1 minute more.
- Serve warm, stacking the pancakes high and topping them with your favorites.
