  • 4 slices Bread white, whole wheat, or your preference
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese or cheese blend
  • 2 tablespoons Butter optional, for toasting

How to Make Cheesy Sloppy Joe Toast
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook your ground beef with the finely chopped onion and minced garlic until the beef is browned and the onions are soft, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Mix in the tomato sauce or ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder (if using), and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until it thickens, then remove from heat.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F or set the broiler for preferred crispiness.
  4. Spread a thin layer of butter on each slice of bread, then arrange on a baking sheet.
  5. Evenly distribute the Sloppy Joe mixture over each slice of bread.
  6. Pile on the shredded cheddar cheese on each slice.
  7. Bake or broil for 5-7 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.
