Steps to Prepare
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish, then press one sheet of the dough firmly into the bottom.
  2. Combine sliced apples with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Toss gently until apples are coated.
  3. Spread the apple mixture evenly over the dough layer. Dot with cubes of butter.
  4. Top with the second sheet of dough, sealing the edges and cutting small slits for steam to escape.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth for the glaze.
  7. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled apple slices once set, then slice into bars.
