Making the Cookies
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate the all-purpose flour and salt gradually, then add the vanilla extract.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick and cut into heart shapes.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden brown, then cool on a wire rack.
- Melt chocolate chips and dip half of each cooled cookie into the chocolate.
