How to Make Chocolate-Dipped Shortbread Heart Cookies
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Incorporate the all-purpose flour and salt gradually, then add in the vanilla extract.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2 inch thick. Use heart-shaped cookie cutters to shape cookies.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden. Cool completely on a wire rack.
  6. Melt chocolate chips until smooth. Dip half of each cooled cookie into the melted chocolate.
