How to Make Christmas Toffee Bark
  1. Line the Baking Sheet: Start by covering a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Melt the Butter: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar and a pinch of salt.
  4. Add Vanilla: Remove saucepan from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the Toffee: Immediately pour the warm toffee onto the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Melt the Chocolate: Let the toffee sit for 1–2 minutes and sprinkle 1.5 cups of milk chocolate on top.
  7. Spread the Chocolate: Use a spatula to spread the chocolate evenly across the toffee.
  8. Add Nuts: Sprinkle 0.5 cups of chopped pecans or walnuts over the melted chocolate.
  9. Cool Completely: Allow your Christmas Toffee Bark to cool completely.
  10. Break and Enjoy: Lift the parchment paper from the baking sheet and break the toffee bark into pieces.
