How to Make Crockpot BBQ Beef
- Season the beef roast generously with salt and pepper.
- Layer the sliced onion and minced garlic in the bottom of your crockpot.
- Place the seasoned beef roast on top of the onions.
- Pour the barbecue sauce and Worcestershire sauce over the roast.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender and shreds easily.
- Shred the beef with two forks right in the crockpot, mixing it with the sauce.

For a thicker sauce, remove the lid in the last hour of cooking to allow some liquid to evaporate and concentrate the flavors.
