Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the flour and baking powder in a bowl until well combined.
  3. Beat the softened butter and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well, and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture gradually until just mixed.
  6. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets about two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  7. Cool the cookies for five minutes on the baking sheets, then transfer to wire racks.
  8. Decorate the cooled cookies with your frosting as desired.
