How to Make Garlic Fried Rice
  1. Prepare ingredients: Start by gathering all your ingredients. Mince the garlic finely and chop the green onions to ensure even cooking and flavor throughout the dish.
  2. Heat oil: In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Wait for the oil to shimmer, indicating it’s hot and ready for frying.
  3. Sauté garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté it for about 1 minute, stirring constantly until it turns golden brown and fragrant. Be careful not to let it burn!
  4. Add rice: Toss in the cooked rice, breaking up any clumps as you stir-fry. Fry it for about 2-3 minutes until it’s heated through and mixed evenly with the garlic.
  5. Season rice: Pour in the low-sodium soy sauce, making sure to toss the rice to coat every grain evenly. If you're adding peas and carrots, now is the time to stir them in for added color and nutrition.
  6. Garnish and serve: Once everything is well combined and heated, remove the skillet from heat and garnish with the chopped green onions. Serve hot, and enjoy every bite!
