Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine the wet ingredients in a separate bowl: milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Incorporate the wet ingredients into the dry mix. Gently stir until just combined.
- Roll out the dough onto a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
- Spread the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over the dough evenly.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips generously on top of the cinnamon-sugar layer.
- Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other and cut into 12 even slices.
- Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Cool the rolls slightly before serving.
